To avoid plagiarism, students should always cite materials and ideas not of their own. At For most works, the in-text citation will consist of the authors’ last name(s) and the page number of the cited material. If you use two or more selections by the same author, you must also include the title of the work. Some works do not have authors; they will be cited by their titles. Exceptions to these rules are listed after the works cited format. Book with one author Pyles, Thomas. The Origins and Development of the English Language 2nd ed.
